Military PA System Short Listed for Award
Vitavox returned from the latest International Armoured Vehicle Exhibition having being one of 3 companies short listed for best innovation at the show. The company was showcasing the latest development in the Outacom system which will be installed by GDUK on all Scout Specialist Vehicles for the British MoD.
The system was nominated for best innovation and received high praise from the panel of judges. The Outacom system was presented as an integrated solution with the Vitavic 400 intercom system. The Outacom element features an externally mounted public address system, which is both weatherproof and blast proof, that allows high power speech or audio to be directed up to 300m from the vehicle. The system was integrated with the Vitavic 400 software defined intercom system to provide secure control of the public address broadcasts from the safety of the vehicle, while also allowing up to 21 crew members and 6 CNRs to communicate independently of the public address.
This new development was seen by the judges to fit with the recent changes in military doctrine towards a controlled escalation of force and is seen by Vitavox as a critical aid in the policing role that modern soldiers will undertake in current and future operations.
