Why ViTac™ ?

The Vitavox Tactical (ViTac™) Personal Communication System (PCS) provides advanced hearing protection for mounted and dismounted close combat operators, in noisy and cluttered digital battlespace environments.

Deploying advanced Dynamic Noise Reduction technology, ViTac PCS reduces damaging impulses whilst offering unrivaled 3D local situational awareness.

ViTac™ – The product

User lead workshops provided critical real world insight and direction throughout the development cycle. Supporting the British Army across numerous active test and evaluation exercises, ViTac™ is a product of active soldier feedback combined with cutting edge technology.

Personal Headset

The ViTac Personal Headset affords the user the best hearing protection and situational awareness available.

Weighing less than 350g, the ViTac Personal Headset has been designed to meet the needs of the combat user in a digitally cluttered battlespace. Fitted with advanced Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR) technology, this enables unrivaled 3D local situational awareness and a unique self-test function, the headset offers unrivalled protection against steady state and impulse noise. The unique modular system makes it completely agnostic, able to connect into any form of radio communications, be it in a vehicle or on-the-man.

Personal Communication Control Unit (PCCU)

The PCCU series can be tailored to support the needs of each user, their radios and equipment. System agnostic and therefore forward and backward compatible, the PCCU is both lightweight and inobtrusive and can easily be fixed direct via MOLLE or via a clothing clip. Featuring soft key Push-To-Talk (PTT), the unit is designed purposely with large, raised, soft touch buttons to enable the user to operate in gloves, CBRN environments or at night.

The PCCU supports dual channel radios (including volume control) and features dual audio input for mounted and dismounted application. To best support the varied requirements of close combat operators, the PCCU can be specified for the application such as:

  • Automatic Rebroadcasting
  • Internal Loudspeaker
  • Channel Selection Switch
